What are the hospital working hours?


For Saturday to Wednesday

The hospital working hours are from 8.30am to 7.30pm, however the registration counter remains open from 7.30am till 6.30pm.

For Thursday

The working hours are from 8.30am to 1.30pm.

The registration counter is open from 7.30am to 12.30pm.

However Emergency and Inpatient services remain open 24 hours a day every day of the year.

What are the emergency services?


Emergency services are for emergencies only.

Common emergencies may include cuts, burns, injuries, impaction of foreign body in the eyes or adjoining areas.

Sudden filling of fullness in the eyes with severe pain and redness, sudden onset of pain, sudden loss of vision are also considered emergencies.

Routine check up, follow up, spectacles, chronic disease etc are not considered an emergency.

How do make an appointment?


You can dial the hotline number 096 109 98333 from your mobile or land line or contact us through the hospital website.

You can also come directly to reception at the hospital, however getting an appointment is subject to availability.

How can make appointment for a particular doctor/consultant?


While making an appointment, mention the name of your preferred consultant and be guided by our staff whether this doctor would be the most suitable one to deal with your particular eye condition. We employ the best opthalmologist in the country and all our doctors are well qualified and highly trained in the own area of expertise.

General patients will be allocated the most appropriate doctor in the relevant department.

What is the registration fee?


General OPD takas 50

Private OPD takas 800

How many days it takes for cataract surgery?


Usually two days: the first day we carry out investigations, if these are okay then you can undergo surgery on the next day. most patients go home the same day of the surgery.
